Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) has been widely reported to soothe itchy and inflamed skin when diluted at an appropriate ratio.  This is why we use it in our gels, along with Sea buckthorn oil.

So why is Apple Cider Vinegar so loved?

Not only is it a delicious ingredient to use in the kitchen,  ACV has some great properties for your pet’s skin. It is an anti-fungal and also acts as an anti-bacterial agent, making it great for any bacterial skin conditions.  ACV can encourage the growth of healthy bacteria to help the skin become healthier. It can also help to balance the pH level of the skin.  ACV also has antimicrobial properties that may help to lower levels of yeast on the skin, which in turn can reduce flaky skin.

This wonderful vinegar has also been reported to stimulate hair growth.  This is one of the effects that our customers report being most happy with.  It can also improve the hair’s ability to absorb and hold moisture, so your pet’s coat should appear glossier than before.

It is important not to use neat vinegar on your pet’s skin.  Always seek advice about how best to use it to your pet’s advantage.
